Meet Your Retreat Leader: John Siddique
John Siddique is a respected author and spiritual teacher, known for his insightful and accessible teachings on living a life of authenticity and awareness. With nine books to his name, including Signposts of The Spiritual Journey and SO, John’s work has resonated with people from diverse backgrounds, helping them find greater peace and fulfilment. His meditations, which have been downloaded over 3 million times, offer practical guidance for navigating life’s challenges with wisdom and compassion.
John’s teachings emphasize the importance of authenticity and awareness as foundations for human happiness and growth. He encourages individuals to move beyond fear and the illusion of separateness, discovering the inherent wholeness of our true nature through love. His approach is inclusive, not tied to any specific nationality, religion, or philosophy, and is not focused on building a following. Instead, he hopes to provide a space for personal transformation, helping others live meaningful lives through self-realization.
Beyond his written work, John has developed popular meditation courses, including Self-Acceptance Through Authenticity and Magical Moments, which are designed to support personal growth and strengthen family connections. His work has been featured in various media outlets such as Time Magazine, The Guardian, and the BBC.
John holds an MA in Literature and Creative Writing from Manchester Victoria University and is an Honorary Fellow of Leicester University. He has also served as Poet Laureate of Canterbury and Poet in Residence at California State University, LA, for The British Council. Additionally, John contributes to the literary community as a founding board member and commissioning editor for the Royal Literary Fund initiative Writers Mosaic.

This step is crucial for your safety and well-being. Once approved, you can pay the remaining balance to confirm your reservation. If your health doesn’t allow attendance, we’ll refund your deposit or help explore other options.
