Alessio’s Numinous Ways
Alessio’s way of life is guided by a quiet, ongoing relationship with the Numinous, grounded in daily practice rather than belief or theory. Shaped through years of plant dietas, his path emphasises listening, restraint, and respect for the living intelligence of the forest.
This orientation is expressed through simplicity, humility, and attentiveness to natural rhythms. The sacred is not separated from ordinary life, but woven into how he lives, relates, and serves—both within ceremony and beyond it.
About Alessio
Alessio Picota Panduro is a Shipibo onanya whose path has been shaped through years of dedicated plant dietas within his family lineage. With over eight years of experience, his learning has been guided closely by his mother, through sustained relationships with the medicinal plants of the Amazon.
Alessio has completed dietas with a range of master plants, including marusa, bobinsana, ajosacha, peón colorado, niwe rao, camalonga, chuchuhuasi, and chiuaco. His approach reflects patience, continuity, and respect for the traditional Shipibo ways of learning directly from the plants themselves.
At Numinous Ways retreats, Alessio supports ceremonies alongside his mother, offering participants a grounded and respectful presence rooted in lived practice and family transmission.
